Kaizer Chiefs to hold pre-season training camp in a European country
Last year, Kaizer Chiefs headed to Turkey for their pre-season preparations. Now, the Amakhosi are once again set to travel to Europe to gear up for the new campaign—this time in a slightly different direction.
Details: The press office of the reigning South African Cup champions has announced the team will hold their training camp in the Netherlands from July 3 to July 19. While their pre-season opponents are yet to be confirmed, fans can expect high-profile matchups, especially with the local Eredivisie set to kick off on August 8.
Reminder: Last season in the South African Premier Division, Kaizer Chiefs finished ninth, missing out on MTN8 qualification, but clinched a major trophy for the first time in ten years—the South African Cup.
This off-season, Nasreddine Nabi’s squad has already parted ways with three players. Following Sabelo Radebe and Njabulo Blom, Ranga Chivaviro has also left the Amakhosi camp.
