Not long ago, reports suggested that Kaizer Chiefs were set to part ways with midfielder Matlou. However, it appears those plans have changed.

Details: According to iDiski Times, the club’s management has reconsidered and decided to offer the player a new contract. However, the deal is a short-term one. Matlou was initially expected to leave the club, as his previous contract expired on June 30.

Over the past three seasons, Matlou has made 40 appearances for Kaizer Chiefs and won one trophy — the South African Cup.

Recently, Kaizer Chiefs announced three new signings, including left-back Shinga, whose agent detailed how the move came about.
