Kader Keita taken into custody in Romania
He knocked down a 68-year-old woman
The Ivorian international was involved in a serious road accident on Tuesday in Bucharest.
Kader Keita was arrested by Romanian police for hit-and-run after the accident. According to sources, the Ivorian midfielder violently struck a 68-year-old woman with his car on Tuesday, 3 March 2026. The player then fled the scene without assisting the victim, who was taken to intensive care, according to Romanian public television station TVR Info.
The Ivorian was arrested 24 hours after the incident thanks to CCTV footage. Kader Keita was then taken into custody. His club, FC Rapid 1923, responded by stating that it cannot get involved until the courts have made a decision.
