Juventus will extend the current contract with Brazilian defender Danilo, but there is one important condition attached.

According to football insider Fabrizio Romano, the defender's contract, which is valid until June 2025, includes an option for extension until 2026.

However, this option will be activated only if Danilo plays in at least 50% of the games in the next season. The player himself wishes to continue his career in Turin.

The versatile 32-year-old defender joined Juventus in 2019. The Bianconeri paid €37 million to Manchester City for his transfer. Danilo has also played for Real Madrid and Porto in Europe.

In the current season, Danilo has scored 1 goal and provided 3 assists in 27 matches for Juventus across all competitions.
