Juventus legend returns to Serie A

Experienced central defender of Union Berlin, Leonardo Bonucci, is close to making a return to Serie A, as reported by insider Nicolo Schira.

The 36-year-old footballer is in advanced negotiations with AS Roma, which is offering him a contract until the end of the season. Bonucci, eager to play again in Italy, awaits approval from Union Berlin for the transfer.

Bonucci's goal is to rejoin the Italian national team and participate in the UEFA Euro 2024. National team coach Luciano Spalletti has informed him that regular play in Serie A is essential for this.

In the current season, Bonucci has played 7 matches in the Bundesliga, scoring 1 goal. He has also appeared in 3 UEFA Champions League matches.

The majority of Bonucci's career was spent at Juventus, where he played 502 matches and scored 37 goals.
