Juventus have announced a contract extension with goalkeeper Perin
After Wojciech Szczęsny's departure, there was much speculation about who would become Juventus' new first-choice goalkeeper. One of the options was his backup, Mattia Perin, who will continue to fight for his place in the squad.
Details: Today, Juventus officially announced the contract extension of Perin until the summer of 2027.
The goalkeeper's previous contract was set to expire at the end of this season, and there was a possibility he could leave as a free agent.
Currently, Juventus' primary goalkeeper is Michele Di Gregorio, but Perin has already featured in four matches. Notably, he played in yesterday's UEFA Champions League match against Stuttgart, which ended in a 1-0 defeat.
Reminder: Yesterday, Juventus legend Leonardo Bonucci officially began his managerial career.
