Juventus is on the final stretch of negotiations for the acquisition of Lille's defender Thiago Djalo.

According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, the Old Lady is set to pay around three million euros for the player, whose contract with Lille expires in the summer. The amount could increase through various bonuses. Additionally, the French club will receive 10% from any future transfer of the player.

Inter also had an interest in Djalo, but the Nerazzurri are prepared to sign the 23-year-old Portuguese after the season as a free agent.

Djalo has yet to play in the current season due to a knee injury. During his time at Lille, the versatile defender participated in 102 matches and scored three goals. In the 2020/21 season, he contributed to Lille's French championship victory.

Previously, reports indicated Juventus was considering parting ways with a forward. The Old Lady currently occupies the second position in Serie A, trailing Inter by two points.
