English side Aston Villa is intensifying its search for a new center-forward, and Unai Emery’s team appears to have found a promising candidate.

Details: According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Birmingham’s Aston Villa is considering a move for Juventus and US national team striker Jonathan David. The English club is interested in bringing the player in on loan.

Juventus, as reported by various sources, is planning to sign another forward, but the main stumbling block for a potential transfer remains David’s salary. If Aston Villa agrees to cover his wages in full, the Old Lady would be able to fill the vacant spot up front.

David himself wants to fight for a starting role at the Italian giants, but head coach Luciano Spalletti does not see the American as part of his project. In the 2025/26 season, David featured in 44 matches across all competitions, scoring just 8 goals and providing 5 assists.
