Juventus face personnel crisis! Daniele Rugani sidelined for a month with soleus muscle injury
The Turin club has lost central defender Daniele Rugani to injury—just as he had secured a regular starting spot in Juventus' lineup.
Details: Juventus announced on their social media channels that defender Daniele Rugani, who started in the Turin derby before the international break, sustained an injury during training on Tuesday, November 18.
Medical examinations confirmed a low-grade injury to the soleus muscle in his right calf. Initial estimates suggest Rugani will be out of action for at least a month.
This is another major blow for head coach Luciano Spalletti: Bremer, Kabal, and Kelly were already on the injury list. The manager hopes Kelly will recover in time for the match in Florence, but his participation remains uncertain.
The situation with Dusan Vlahovic is also unclear, as he continues to recover from muscle fatigue suffered while on international duty.
Juventus will play their next match on Saturday, November 22, at 18:00 Central European Time.
Reminder: Juventus are considering a move for Sunderland midfielder Granit Xhaka during the winter transfer window.
