Juventus have shown serious interest in signing Viktor Gyokeres, whose chances of moving to the Premier League this summer have significantly diminished. The Turin club is set to open talks with Sporting regarding a potential transfer, according to Calciomercato.
The Swedish striker has turned down a move to Manchester United, as the club failed to qualify for European competitions. While Gyokeres would have preferred a switch to Arsenal, it appears the Gunners are instead leaning towards a transfer for Benjamin Sesko from Leipzig.
Thus, the situation around the Swede remains tense, but for Juventus, this is a real chance to bolster their attacking line with a top-class forward. The financial side of the deal, however, remains unresolved: Gyokeres' agent claims Sporting promised to let him go for €60 million plus €10 million in bonuses. The club itself, however, denies any such agreement.
