Juventus defender denied reports about his injury, stating that the club does not count on him
This afternoon, Juventus headed to Nuremberg for intensive training under new coach Thiago Motta, with several players left out for various reasons.
De Sciglio was among those excluded, reportedly due to physical fitness issues. However, the defender criticized the club on social media following his exclusion from the pre-season training camp.
"I want to clarify that this was solely a club decision. In the past few hours, I have heard some inaccuracies about me. I want to make it clear that I am fine and do not have any physical problems, despite what Sky Sport and other media have reported. My exclusion was solely the club's decision. I kindly ask journalists to get accurate information before publishing false news," the 31-year-old defender wrote on his Instagram.

It is not surprising that De Sciglio was left out, as he is not in Thiago Motta's future plans. The defender, who can play both right and left back, has a contract until June 2025 and was one of Max Allegri's favorites during their time together at Milan. He joined Juventus in the summer of 2017 for €12 million and spent the 2020-2021 season on loan at Lyon.
