“Juve Wanted to Sign Me… But Napoli President Didn’t Want to Sell Me” – Victor Osimhen

Galatasaray attacker Victor Osimhen has revealed that he originally hoped to join Juventus before ultimately making the move to the Turkish Super Lig champions.

In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nigerian international reflected on his desire to join one of Serie A’s top clubs and explained why the transfer never materialized.

“I had the opportunity to join Juventus, yes,” Osimhen said as he prepares for Galatasaray’s Champions League Round of 16 playoff first leg against Juventus on Tuesday.

“Juve wanted to sign me… but Napoli president De Laurentiis didn’t want to sell me to Juventus.

“For sure, Juventus are a top club. When Juventus calls you, you listen.”
