Just like Beckham: Netflix plans series on Jamie Vardy’s life and career

Leicester City legend Jamie Vardy is set to become the star of a new Netflix documentary series, reports The Telegraph. The streaming platform plans to chronicle the striker’s incredible rise in football, along with an inside look at his family life with wife Rebekah.

While Vardy may not enjoy the global fame of David Beckham, whose Netflix series premiered last year, the platform reportedly aims to replicate the appeal of Beckham’s domestic scenes with Victoria by showcasing the Vardys’ family dynamics.

Netflix is also said to be eyeing a potential follow-up project centered around Rebekah Vardy if this series proves successful.

Meanwhile, Jamie remains a key figure for Leicester City, leading the team in their fight to stay in the Premier League. This season, Vardy has already scored six goals and provided three assists in 16 league matches.

Leicester has netted 21 goals in total this season, underscoring Vardy’s significant contribution—nearly half of the team’s goals involve his efforts.
