Just In: South Africa Name 15-Man Squad for Bangladesh Test Series as Tony de Zorzi Returns
The South African men’s team has today officially unveiled a 15-player squad to face Bangladesh in the two-match Dafabet Test series later this month.
The first Test is scheduled to be played at DP World Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg from November 15 to 19, while the second match is scheduled for SuperSport Park in Centurion from November 23 to 27.
De Zorzi has been included back in the squad after recently missing the Test series against Australia due to a hamstring injury he sustained during the third ODI in Potchefstroom. Another notable inclusion in the squad is Batter Zubayr Hamza.
Fast bowler Anrich Nortje is another notable returnee after recovering from a groin injury that kept him out for two weeks. However, Lungi Ngidi has not been considered for selection as he continues his rehabilitation.
South Africa squad for the Bangladesh Test series:
Temba Bavuma (captain), Marques Ackerman, Matthew Breetzke, Corbin Bosch, Tony de Zorzi, Simon Harmer, Zubayr Hamza, Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Aiden Markram, Wiaan Mulder, Anrich Nortje, Dane Paterson, Kagiso Rabada and Ryan Rickelton.
