Just In: Asante Kotoko Confirm Departure of 14 Players Ahead of 2026/27 Season

Asante Kotoko SC have officially confirmed the departure of 14 first-team players ahead of the 2026/27 league season.

The Porcupine Warriors said the decision followed a detailed assessment of the squad that completed the 2025/26 campaign. While some players left after reaching the end of their contracts, others departed after mutually agreeing to terminate their deals with the club.

Players Leaving Asante Kotoko

Goalkeeper Mohammed Camara, centre-backs Samba O’Neil and Henry Ansu, midfielder Baba Yahaya, and forwards Peter Amidu Acquah and Albert Amoah have all left the club following the expiration of their contracts.

Kotoko also confirmed the departures of goalkeeper Benjamin Twum, centre-back Zackaria Fuseini, left-back Francis Acquah, midfielder Prince Badu, and forwards Isaac Mintah, Kwame Opoku, Johnson Owusu and Elvis Kyei Baffour. These players have become free agents after reaching mutual agreements with the club to end their contracts.
