Julien Chevalier sets a record at ASEC Mimosas

The Frenchman has become the most successful manager in the Ivorian club’s Ligue 1 history.

Appointed in 2019, Julien Chevalier is making his mark at ASEC Mimosas. The French tactician has led his team to league success on four occasions. Under Julien Chevalier, ASEC Mimosas were crowned champions of the 2025–2026 Ivorian Ligue 1 on Monday 4 May.

A new title that propels the Frenchman into the history books of the Mimos. Since 2019, Julien Chevalier has won the league title in the 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2026 seasons. No manager in the history of ASEC Mimosas had ever achieved such a feat.

Patrick Liewig previously held the record for the most titles with three (2004, 2005, 2006). However, he has now been surpassed by Julien Chevalier. The French coach is also the longest-serving manager at the helm of the ASEC Mimosas professional team (seven seasons).
