At just 18, Julián Vignolo is set to make the leap from Argentina’s second division to the top flight of Italian football. The Racing de Córdoba forward will join Pisa, recently promoted to Serie A, on a four-year deal. Despite interest from clubs like Racing Club (Avellaneda) and Talleres, the talented attacker has opted for a new challenge in Europe.

According to journalist César Luis Merlo, Pisa—who finished second in Serie B and returned to Serie A after 34 years—will trigger Vignolo’s release clause. In 33 appearances for Racing de Córdoba, he has scored five goals, with four of them and three assists coming this season. His composure, creativity, and impact at such a young age made him a standout in the Primera Nacional.

His time at Racing wasn’t without controversy. Earlier this year, club president Manuel Pérez issued an ultimatum over contract talks, saying Vignolo wouldn’t play without a renewal. The player later criticized those remarks, calling them unfair and hurtful. “It created tension with fans. I’m still young and learning how to handle these things,” he admitted. Now, Vignolo begins a new journey—one that could mark the start of a promising international career.
