Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham returned to England for the Christmas break and decided to attend a Sunderland match to support his younger brother Jobe, who plays for the club, reports The Sun. During the match, cameras captured Bellingham in the stands, seemingly singing along to a controversial chant about Newcastle legend Alan Shearer.

In the footage, Sunderland fans break into a vulgar chant targeting Shearer, and Jude, smiling broadly, appears to join in by repeating some of the words.

The rivalry between Sunderland and Newcastle is well-known, so it’s no surprise that the Black Cats’ fans would aim their ire at one of Newcastle’s iconic players. It seems Jude, soaking in the atmosphere while supporting his brother, has temporarily aligned with Sunderland’s fierce emotions against Newcastle.

The match between Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers, a team Shearer also represented in the past, ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw. Sunderland currently sits in 4th place in the Championship standings, with Blackburn close behind in 5th. Leeds United leads the table, 4 points ahead of Sunderland and 10 points clear of Blackburn.
