On Saturday, November 29, Al-Ittihad clinched a spot in the semifinals of the Saudi King's Cup. Sérgio Conceição's men conceded first, but responded in style with four goals of their own.
The undisputed star of the match against Al-Shabab was 37-year-old Karim Benzema. The French striker netted a hat-trick, scoring for the third consecutive game. Previously, he found the net against Al-Riyadh and bagged a brace in the clash with Al-Duhail. This match also saw him notch his 50th goal in the colors of the Saudi powerhouse.
Earlier, Al-Kholood, Al-Hilal, and Al-Ahli also booked their places in the semifinal of the King's Cup. It's also worth noting that Al-Ittihad are the reigning champions of the tournament.
