José Mourinho wants to see Lucas Vázquez at Fenerbahçe
The Portuguese tactician is eager to lure the decorated Spaniard to his squad
Details: According to journalist and insider Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, the experienced José Mourinho does not want to miss the chance to sign a player of Lucas Vázquez's caliber, with the Spaniard soon to become a free agent.
Despite lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia, the 33-year-old could remain in Europe to prove that his skills are still sharp enough for top-level football, regardless of his age.
Reports indicate that Fenerbahçe’s offer is already on Vázquez’s table, and Mourinho himself is maintaining regular contact with the player.
Vázquez has spent nearly his entire career at Real Madrid, save for a loan spell at Espanyol. In the 2024/25 season, Lucas featured in 51 matches, scoring twice and providing eight assists. In total, the Spaniard has played 398 games and won 21 trophies, including four La Liga titles and five Champions League crowns with the Galácticos.
