Born in Spain, the 27-year-old striker has been called up by Claude Le Roy for the first two fixtures of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Jordi Mboula will represent his father’s country of origin, the Republic of the Congo, on the international stage. The player has made a definitive decision regarding his future with the national team.

After 26 appearances for Spain’s youth teams, the 27-year-old has decided to join the Red Devils. Jordi Mboula is one of the 27 players called up by manager Claude Le Roy for the matches against Namibia and Cameroon.

Jordi Mboula, who currently plays for AE Kifisia in the Greek Super League, will make his debut for Congo during the upcoming international break. He will bolster the Red Devils’ attack for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.

Congo will travel to face Namibia on 24 September in the opening match of the qualifiers, before hosting Cameroon on 29 September in Brazzaville at the Alphonse-Massamba-Débat Stadium.
