Jordi Alba attacks referees and criticizes MLS Playoff system after defeat
Jordi Alba was very unhappy with the refereeing in the match between Inter Miami and Atlanta United and criticized the officials after the game. The defender also expressed his dissatisfaction with the MLS playoff system.
Quote: "We were the most consistent team, broke the record for points earned, had a great season, but we wanted to win the playoffs. I think this format is a bit unfair," Alba said after the defeat.
A video also surfaced online showing Alba criticizing the referees after the match. The officials tried to avoid conflict and quickly headed toward the locker room.
To remind you, Inter Miami lost the third MLS playoff match against Atlanta United 2-3. Despite Lionel Messi's goal, the American club was eliminated from the playoffs.
