Jonathan David Yet to Choose Next Club as Napoli Interest Grows

Jonathan David has not finalized a decision regarding his next club, despite reports suggesting a move to Serie A champions Napoli is imminent. TSN reports that the 25-year-old Canadian striker is still weighing multiple offers, focusing on salary structure, playing time, and each club’s competitive ambitions.
David recently ended his five-year stint at Lille, tallying 109 goals in 232 appearances. While Napoli’s recent league title and Champions League aspirations make them a strong contender, David's camp stresses that his choice won’t be rushed.
His future could impact Canada's squad for June’s Canadian Shield friendlies and the upcoming Gold Cup. Although coach Jesse Marsch included him in both preliminary rosters, David’s involvement may be limited by his new club’s preseason obligations.
Currently on vacation, David was last seen meeting Canada’s U-16 team while in Guadeloupe, a gesture that underlines his ongoing commitment to the national program.
