British heavyweight boxer Joe Joyce forecasted whether Deontay Wilder would end his career following a painful defeat to Joseph Parker in December.

After the fight, the American hinted at the possible conclusion of his boxing career, but later retracted his statement.

"Of course, he’ll continue. He’s been ring rusty after being out of the ring for two years and Parker is a good skillful fighter. It was a tough fight to come back to and he couldn’t land that big shot and was under fire the whole time, but he is always dangerous. There’s plenty of other fights and we can all mix it together," Joyce said.

It is reasonable to recall that Wilder was decisively defeated by Parker on points at a boxing event in Saudi Arabia.

Previously, Joyce suggested a fight between Parker and Daniel Dubois to determine who among them deserves a rematch with him.

As for Joyce himself, he lost two fights to Chinese heavyweight Zhāng Zhìlèi. In April 2023, the Briton lost his WBO interim champion title and then suffered a defeat to the Chinese boxer in a rematch in September.
