Joan Laporta doesn't understand why Athletic Bilbao is discussing Barcelona with La Liga

Barcelona is working on signing Nico Williams and is in negotiations with Athletic Bilbao, but the Basque club intends to approach La Liga.

Details: Joan Laporta is baffled as to why Athletic Bilbao wants to discuss Barcelona with the La Liga management. In his view, this is an issue for the Bilbao club itself.

Quote: "I don't understand why Athletic Bilbao wants to discuss Barcelona with La Liga. I don't think it's appropriate, but that's their problem," stated Barcelona president Laporta.

Earlier, we reported that Laporta said the club is capable of making transfers and is currently operating under the 1:1 rule. He also emphasized that the team will soon announce new signings.

Reminder: The president of La Liga stated that Barcelona can make transfers, but at the moment is unable to register new players. According to him, the club does not yet meet the requirements for free signings and cannot act under the 1:1 rule for now.
