Japanese wunderkind! Official: Keita Kosugi joins Eintracht

Eintracht is working the transfer market even before the window officially opens.
Details: Today, the official X (formerly Twitter) page of the German club Eintracht announced that 19-year-old Japanese defender Keita Kosugi, who has been playing for Swedish side Djurgården, has inked a deal with the Bundesliga team.

Reports indicate that Kosugi will join the squad on January 1, 2026, though the length of his contract remains undisclosed. The transfer fee is set at €6.5 million.
Keita Kosugi moved to Djurgården in 2024. He has made 62 appearances for the Swedish club, netting 5 goals and providing 7 assists.
Eintracht commented on the transfer as follows:
"With Keita Kosugi, we've signed a young left-back who, in addition to excellent ball control and technical skills, stands out for his strong work ethic and commitment to intensive training," the club's official statement read.
Kosugi's market value is estimated at €4 million by Transfermarkt.
