Jake Paul, 27, the YouTuber-turned-boxer, revealed how he was inspired to take on Mike Tyson after “seeing” their fight under the influence of banned substances, as reported by Daily Mail.

Two years ago, Paul embarked on a spiritual journey in Costa Rica, where he participated in a ceremony involving ayahuasca — a potent psychedelic brew traditionally used by Indigenous shamans.

“I wanted to discover something new about myself. One of the craziest things was a vision where I was fighting Mike Tyson. It felt as if it had already happened or something like that,” Paul shared about his experience in an interview for a Netflix documentary miniseries.

The very next day after the ceremony, Jake reached out to Tyson and began preparing for a potential fight against the boxing legend.

The bout was initially scheduled for July 20 but had to be postponed due to Iron Mike’s poor health. Tyson experienced a severe flare-up of an ulcer, resulting in bloody vomiting. The fight has now been rescheduled for November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Many are dubbing it a clash of generations.
