Jail for a gaming accessory? The police arrested a teenager who tried to buy a knife from CS2
A teenager has been arrested in the UK on suspicion of attempting to import a prohibited weapon. It turns out that the young man had ordered a knife from France that closely resembles the iconic karambit knife from the video game Counter Strike 2.
Details: Officers from Nottinghamshire visited the 18-year-old in Nottingham after customs officials seized a package containing a curved karambit-style knife, which had been shipped from France.
The teenager was arrested on suspicion of importing a banned weapon with the intent to evade restrictions. He was also detained for possession of Class A drugs after ecstasy tablets were discovered during a search of his home.
Context: The arrest has sparked outrage on social media. Many experienced gamers have voiced their frustration in the comments under Nottinghamshire Police's post, claiming that the item is not a real weapon but simply a replica of the knife from Counter Strike 2.
