Ivory Coast win their friendly against South Korea
The Elephants gave their South Korean opponents no chance at the MK Stadium.
The Ivorian national team kicked off the international break with a convincing victory. Emerse Faé’s side dominated South Korea in their first friendly of this FIFA window. At the MK Stadium in Milton Keynes on Saturday 28 March, the Ivorian national team secured a comfortable win.
Evann Guessand opened the scoring in the 36th minute. Simon Adingra doubled the lead in the 43rd minute for the Elephants. In the second half, the Ivorians continued their momentum and scored two further goals. Martial Godo found the net in the 63rd minute to make it 3-0, before Wilfried Singo sealed the victory with a fourth goal in stoppage time.
The Ivory Coast national team has made a perfect start to their preparations for the World Cup, scheduled to take place next summer in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
