Ivory Coast coach reveals his inspirations in the world of football
The winner of the best African coach of the Year award for 2024, Emerse Faé, revealed that his attacking and convincing style that he follows with the "elephants" was personally inspired by more than one coach around the world.
“Henri Michel was the coach who influenced me when I first coached Ivory Coast, especially during his time with FC Nantes” Emerse Faé said.
“Working with him was a pleasure. We had the same vision of football. I liked his management. Off the pitch, he didn't bother us too much. And on the pitch, he gave us many messages” he added.
The coach stated that he appreciates very much what Roberto De Zerbe is doing with the Olympique Marseille team in France, and he is very impressed with his attacking and balanced style as well.
He also mentioned that he respects the style of Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelotti, Jurgen Klopp as well.
