Ivorian striker Oumar Konaté joins Laval on loan
The 19-year-old will see out the 2026–2027 season in Ligue 2.
Konaté’s move to Laval was made official on Thursday 15 October. He will thus continue his development in the French second division.
The 19-year-old Ivorian, who joined Monaco’s Academy in the summer of 2025 from Sol FC in Côte d’Ivoire, is joining Laval on a season-long loan. Whilst at Monaco, Oumar Konaté made his first appearances for the first team this season, in matches against Gornik Zabrze and Le Havre.
However, the young Ivorian striker had not been called up to the first-team squad since then. Nevertheless, Oumar Konaté has distinguished himself with the Elite Group, finding the back of the net on several occasions.
With this loan move to Laval, Oumar Konaté will have the opportunity to showcase his talent and continue his development.
