Ivorian striker Oumar Diakité will play for Sturm Graz this season
The Ivorian international is leaving Reims for a season-long loan with an option to buy.
Oumar Diakité is embarking on another loan spell following his time with Cercle Brugge in the Belgian league last season. Sturm Graz have secured the services of the Ivorian striker for the 2026–2027 season from Stade de Reims.
The loan agreement reached by the two clubs includes a buy-out option. Should the option be exercised at the end of the 2026–2027 season, the 2023 African champion would sign a permanent contract with the Austrian club. On his arrival, Oumar Diakité promised to give his all for Sturm Graz.
“I’m already very familiar with Sturm from my time in Austria, it’s a top-flight club with great ambitions and fantastic supporters. I’m absolutely delighted to be here now and to give my all on the pitch as soon as possible!”
