A major breakthrough player in the Ivorian Ligue 1 last season, the 20-year-old has signed a four-season contract with the French club.

Souleymane Fofana has taken a major step forward in his young career. The Ivorian midfielder has officially left ASEC Mimosas to join FC Annecy in the French second division.

He has signed a long-term contract. The Ivorian attacking midfielder will wear the colours of FC Annecy until 30 June 2030. Souleymane Fofana’s arrival in the French league represents a great opportunity.

Having made a name for himself in the Ivorian professional league during the 2025–2026 season, the 20-year-old midfielder now has the chance to prove his talent in Europe. Playing for ASEC Mimosas in Ivory Coast last season, Souleymane Fofana scored 16 goals and provided six assists across all competitions.

FC Annecy is not entirely unfamiliar territory for the Ivorian midfielder. He had a brief spell at the club last year on a trial.
