Ivorian Ligue 1: the fixtures for matchday 29
A long-distance battle between Academie FAD and Mouna for a place on the podium.
The Ivorian professional league enters its matchday 29 this weekend. The focus of this round remains the battle for survival and the top three, as ASEC Mimosas have already been crowned champions. Mouna, currently third in the table, will face San Pedro, who sit second in the league. In this clash, neither team can afford to slip up.
If San Pedro lose, they will be caught by Mouna on points. Similarly, if Mouna are beaten and Academie FAD (fourth in the table) win, they will lose their place on the podium. AFAD are also under pressure from Tchologo, who sit fifth with 43 points. If Tchologo secure a win and AFAD lose, they will take the Academicians’ place.
