Ivorian Ligue 1: full results from matchday 1

The Ivorian professional league kicked off its new season on Saturday 26 September with an opening day marked by several wins and a few draws.

Eight matches were played over the weekend, with the leading clubs in the Ivorian Ligue 1 making their season debuts. Two high-profile fixtures kicked off the season on Saturday, before six more matches rounded off the first matchday on 27 September.

Kicking off the season at home on Saturday, Yamoussoukro FC secured a crucial 1-0 victory over the reigning champions, ASEC Mimosas. Meanwhile, SOA beat Stella Club 2–1, whilst Bouaké FC also won 2–1 against AFAD. SOL FC also picked up all three points away at Adiaké (1–0), as did Zoman FC, who won at San Pedro (1–0). Agboville also won their match at Korhogo (1–0).

Two matches ended in goalless draws: Tchologo v ISCA and Stade d’Abidjan v Mouna.
