Ivorian Ligue 1: FC San Pedro bounce back with a win in Korhogo
The Pétruciens secured their first win of the 2026–2027 season in the Côte d’Ivoire professional league.
FC San Pedro won 2–0 against US Tchologo on Sunday 4 October at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Korhogo, on matchday two of the league.
Having lost 1–0 to Zoman FC on the opening day at the Laurent Pokou Stadium, the Pétruciens responded swiftly. They gave their opponents no time to settle into the match.
Koffi Wilfried opened the scoring for the visitors in the 8th minute, making it 1–0. Two minutes later, Karamoko Alpha doubled the lead by scoring FC San Pedro’s second goal in the 10th minute, bringing the score to 2–0.
With these two early goals, the visitors took a lead which they managed to hold onto until the final whistle. FC San Pedro thus leave Korhogo with all three points and are back on track following their defeat on the opening day.
With this first victory, FC San Pedro have kick-started their campaign and are hoping to build on this momentum. The club finished second in the league last season.
