Ivorian Defender Ange Ahoussou Joins Rapid SK from Pau FC

After playing for French Ligue 2 team Pau FC, young Ivorian defender Ange Ahoussou has agreed to a four-year contract with Rapid SK of the Austrian Premier League.

At 21 years old, Ahoussou is a talented central defender, standing at 6'4", with a strong presence in both defensive and offensive situations. He has made 49 appearances for Pau FC since the summer of 2023, scoring three goals, and was known for his aerial dominance and ability to break defensive lines with his passes.

Now that Rapid SK has advanced to play Fiorentina in the round of 16, Ahoussou will have the opportunity to participate in the Europa Conference League. His career has taken a major turn with this move, which gives him a new beginning in Austria's professional league.

The club's Managing Director, Markus Katzer, expressed excitement about Ahoussou's arrival, stating that he had been closely followed for some time, especially after the departure of veteran defender Maximilian Hofmann.

After passing medical exams, Ahoussou is now in Vienna and will shortly start training with Rapid SK as he awaits his work visa to make his formal debut.
