By joining the French club, the young Ivorian has signed his first professional contract.

Amayo Seyo has taken a major step forward in his young career. The 18-year-old centre-back is leaving the Ivoire FC academy in Ivory Coast to join Olympique Lyonnais in France.

The Ligue 1 club officially announced the Ivorian’s arrival on Wednesday 9 September. Amayo Seyo has signed a two-season contract with Lyon, running until 30 June 2028.

This is the Ivorian centre-back’s first professional contract. However, Amayo Seyo will not be playing for Olympique Lyonnais’ first team straight away. He will first join the French club’s reserve team.

The player, born in 2008, is thus set to discover the French league. This will be his first experience in Europe with Olympique Lyonnais.

Amayo Seyo will be looking to establish himself within his team in order to take his professional development to the next level.
