Tottenham’s midfielder James Maddison hosted his own charity golf tournament, and former Chelsea defender John Terry couldn’t resist taking a playful jab at Spurs.

Details: John Terry emerged victorious at the tournament. During the trophy presentation, he took the chance to joke about James Maddison and Tottenham. According to Terry, he had won as many titles as Spurs had in the past week.

Quote: “I’ve had a really good day today. It’s been a week, and I’ve won as many trophies as Tottenham,” John Terry quipped.

In addition, after the match, Tottenham players unfurled a banner with their manager's iconic quote as they celebrated their long-awaited triumph.

Thanks to this victory, Tottenham clinched their first European trophy since the 1983/84 season, when the team won the UEFA Cup. It’s also the club’s first title since 2008. In total, Spurs' trophy drought lasted 6,296 days.
