After a month sidelined with a muscle injury, Juan Manuel Iturbe is set to return for Cerro Porteño in their pivotal clash against Libertad this Saturday at La Huerta, with kickoff scheduled for 8:30 p.m. local time. The news was reported by ABC Color, marking a significant boost for the Asunción-based side.

The Argentine-born Paraguayan last featured on March 12 in a 4-2 win over Melgar. Since then, he missed four domestic matches while recovering. His 2025 campaign currently includes nine appearances, four goals, one assist, and 591 minutes on the pitch.

Cerro Porteño will hold their most important training session of the week on Friday in preparation for the Apertura leaders. The two teams played out a thrilling 2-2 draw earlier in the season, a game where Iturbe scored and Cecilio Domínguez missed a late penalty that could have sealed the win.

The fixture comes amid a packed schedule for Cerro, who will head to Brazil after the weekend to face Palmeiras in São Paulo on Wednesday for the second matchday of Copa Libertadores Group G. The team arrives in strong form, having won six and drawn one of their last seven matches across all competitions.
