"It's time for revenge." The Atletico coach is determined for the rematch against Inter
The head coach of Atletico, Diego Simeone, shared his expectations for the upcoming match ahead of the second leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 against Inter.
The first leg ended with Inter's narrow victory with a score of 1:0.
"I have absolute faith in the players and the team. I'm sure that tomorrow we will play a great match. I have very clear ideas, I understand what is happening to us and we have had a very good season in the various competitions. Inter are one of the best teams at the moment, but it's time for our revenge, we want to grow by taking advantage of what happened.
It will require very high concentration, I won't say anything about the formation but it will certainly be competitive. Lautaro is an extraordinary player, he demonstrated it with Argentina and he does it every day at 'Inter has a coach who is perfect for his style of play and is certainly among the best in the world. The return of Antoine Griezmann gives us more solutions, it's not the first leg that counts but tomorrow's result against one of the best teams in Europe", Simeone said.
The match in Madrid will take place on Wednesday, March 13. Kick-off is at 9:00 PM Central European Time.
