It’s official: Real Madrid have managed to sign the Leipzig star for an astronomical fee
Real Madrid has landed one of Europe's brightest young wingers.
Details: Real Madrid has officially announced the signing of 19-year-old Ivorian footballer Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig. The winger becomes the newest addition to the Madrid club and will continue his career in La Liga.
According to renowned insider Fabrizio Romano, the total value of the transfer exceeded €100 million. Diomande has signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid, keeping him at the club until June 2031.
The Madrid giants negotiated with RB Leipzig for a long time. Real’s initial offer of €100 million—€90 million guaranteed and an additional €10 million in bonuses—was rejected by the German club. However, the Spanish powerhouse persisted in talks and ultimately secured a final agreement.
Diomande moved to RB Leipzig in the summer of 2025 and quickly became one of the team’s leaders. Last season, the Ivorian winger played 36 matches, netted 13 goals, and provided 10 assists. According to Transfermarkt, the player is valued at €90 million.
Reminder: Real Madrid won't stop at Diomande. Mourinho demands two more star signings.
