It's confirmed. Norwich have sacked their coach after a crushing defeat

On 16 May, Norwich suffered a crushing defeat to Leeds in the semi-final of the Premier League play-offs with a score of 0:4, and the next day the head coach of the Canaries David Wagner paid for this failure.

Norwich released a statement on their website, in which they thanked the specialist and his assistant, Christoph Büchler for their work and wished them success in the future. The club is now looking for Wagner's successor.

The 52-year-old American specialist took over Norwich in January 2023 and in the current season has made 24 victories with 18 defeats. The team, however, finished sixth with 73 points in the current Championship campaign, just three points ahead of seventh-placed Hull.

Last season, when Wagner worked with Norwich for just under six months, the Canaries were in 13th place in the table, but only six points behind the play-off zone.
