“It’s Better if France Qualify” – Brahim Diaz Reveals His Preferred World Cup Quarterfinal Opponent

Morocco playmaker Brahim Diaz has admitted he would prefer to face France in the quarterfinals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after helping the Atlas Lions progress to the last eight.

The Real Madrid star was instrumental in Morocco's dominant 3-0 victory over co-hosts Canada in the Round of 16, providing two assists to inspire his side to another memorable World Cup triumph.

Speaking after the match, Diaz revealed that he is hoping France advances from their Round of 16 fixture, as it would give him the opportunity to come up against several of his Real Madrid teammates.

"It's better if France qualify, because then I will face my teammates at Real Madrid," Diaz told Cope.
