José Mourinho, who recently took over as head coach of Fenerbahçe, will now earn a substantial annual salary of 10.5 million euros in Istanbul.
This fixed amount does not include bonuses for various sporting achievements.
Mourinho was dismissed from Roma in January of this year, with Daniele De Rossi taking his place. The Special One has previously managed Chelsea, Tottenham, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Porto.
In the past season, Fenerbahçe finished second in the league, narrowly losing out to Galatasaray by three points, and will compete in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers next season. In the UEFA Europa Conference League, the club reached the quarter-finals but was eliminated by the eventual winners, Olympiacos.
It was previously reported that Mourinho aims to bring one of his former star players to Fenerbahçe.
