"It's a crime". Benzema's brother harshly criticised Al-Ittihad

Karim Benzema's brother, Gressy, heavily criticized the coaching staff of Al Ittihad after their crushing 1-4 defeat against Al Hilal in the Saudi Arabia Super Cup final.

The winner of the 2022 Ballon d'Or started in the attacking left flank but did not make any significant impact. Gressy Benzema was infuriated that his brother was deployed in a position that wasn't natural for him.

“You play Karim on the left now? This is a crime! It makes no sense. Football needs to be respected”. wrote Gressy Benzema in his Instagram story.

In 28 matches for Al Ittihad, Benzema has scored 13 goals and provided 8 assists. In 2024, the legendary French forward has only scored 1 goal.
