Agustín Rossi’s stellar form with Flamengo in the Club World Cup has reignited interest from Europe. According to AS, Udinese has made informal contact with the Argentine goalkeeper’s camp, hoping to bring him to Serie A next season. However, the Italian side will have to contend with competition from three Premier League clubs and several teams in Saudi Arabia—where Rossi previously played for Al-Nassr.

Udinese has been tracking Rossi since his Boca Juniors days and might have a slight edge due to that long-standing interest. But Flamengo has no plans to let their star go. The club considers him untouchable and is preparing a new six-year deal that would extend his stay until 2031, beyond his current contract, which runs through December 2027.

Rossi has been one of the standout performers of the tournament. With just 0.46 goals conceded per match and an 80% save rate, he ranks among the best in the competition, according to BeSoccer. Before facing Chelsea, he had gone seven consecutive games without conceding a goal—until Pedro Neto broke that streak.

With Bayern Munich awaiting Flamengo in the round of 16 in Miami, Rossi’s presence will be crucial once again. While offers may flood in, Flamengo is determined to keep their Maracanã icon right where he is.
