Italian restaurant in Madrid owned by Cristiano and Nadal closes permanently
The joint venture of football and tennis legends Cristiano Ronaldo and Rafael Nadal seems to have hit a snag. According to reports from El Español and The Mirror, the Italian cuisine restaurant Toto in Madrid has closed its doors permanently.
It should be noted that the establishment was part of the prestigious Tatel Group, whose partners, besides Ronaldo and co-founder Nadal, also include Spanish basketball stars Rudy Fernandez and Pau Gasol.
The restaurant only opened in March 2022, meaning it operated for just three years. The signature dish of the establishment was Vera Carbonara de Toto, and overall, it specialized in Italian cuisine.
It should also be added that despite the closure of Toto in Madrid, the chain's restaurants in other cities, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, continue to operate at this time.
It is worth noting that Ronaldo owns an impressive business empire under the CR7 brand. He is represented in various fields, including fashion and fitness. Cristiano's empire includes hotels, perfumes, a clothing brand, a hair transplant clinic, and more. The footballer's brand is currently valued at $884.3 million.
