On the evening of May 26 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, the draw for the 2024 Futsal World Cup took place. From 24 teams, 6 groups of 4 teams each were formed. The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, along with 4 out of the 6 third-placed teams in their groups. The Uzbekistan national team, as the host country, was automatically placed in Group A.

The tournament itself will take place from September 14 to October 6, 2024, in Uzbekistan. Defending their title will be the Portugal national team, which defeated Argentina 2-1 in the final match of the previous World Cup.
