"It Wasn't Planned": Neymar's Father Talks About His Moves to PSG and Al-Hilal
In 2017, Neymar left Barcelona and joined PSG for a record-breaking fee. However, according to his father, this transfer was never part of the plan.
Details: In an interview with RoundCast, the father of the Brazilian superstar revealed that the primary goal and dream had always been a move to Barcelona, while everything that followed was unplanned.
Quote: "We never made plans. The only plan was to get to Barcelona. The rest—PSG was a whirlwind; it turned into a storm, and before we knew it, he was gone. Al-Hilal too—these were things that just happened," he said.
He added that Neymar's current contract runs until 2025, and they are uncertain about what lies ahead. While acknowledging the ongoing speculations, he noted that they are preparing for what may come.
On a related note: Neymar recently reacted strongly to comments made by Rodri about Vinícius Jr.
Reminder: Neymar, now a star for Al-Hilal, is reportedly edging closer to a return to his boyhood club, Santos. Recent reports suggest that both sides have already agreed on the personal terms of his contract.
